Perfection

Perfection

A Poem by Julia
"

One of the hardships of life.

"
I've been made fun of for as long as I can remember.
Elementary & middle school is where I see it as a more understandable place to happen.
But high school?
I would have thought people would have grown out of it.

And it's not just kids in my grade level or older!
Quite a few freshmen enjoy tormenting me.
It's really stupid.

I know I'm overweight
And I don't look as pretty as celebrities or models.
They tell me I'm not, and never will be, perfect.

But, you know what?

I don't care.

Dressinglooking like famous women never really appealed to me.

Sure there are somethings about myself I wouldn't mind changing,
But other than that I'm happy with who I am.
There are people who like me for who I am and genuinely care about me.

So, you can point out my flaws all you want,
As long as I have my loved ones,
It won't matter at all.

Julia
And another one from my advanced creative writing final project notebook.
This one was kind of me venting about being bullied (if it wasn't obvious).
