A Mouse in the House!

This is children's piece I just wrote. I don't write much children's pieces, so tell me what you think.

There is a Mouse in the House!

 

A sneaky mouse scurried into the house!

Oh no! How will we get the mouse out of the house?

He scampered off into the laundry room

Where mum was washing clothes and folding a blouse

Auuuuugh!

Mum ran out of the laundry room and yelled,

“This mouse is more of a pest than a louse!

We must get it out of this house!”

Dad grabbed the broom and

Swish! Swish!

The mouse scurried off out of sight.

We searched and searched, but could not find the mouse.

Suddenly…..

Eeeeeek!

The mouse was beneath sister Sally-Mae’s bed!

How will we get the mouse out?

We gathered around the mouse

Trapping him in the corner of the room.

Suddenly…….

Swoosh!

It scurried under my legs and disappeared!

How will we ever oust this mouse?

Dad ran down stairs and opened the kitchen door

Creek!

We all ran after Dad

Slam!  Plop! Plop! Plop!

Now we all sit on the floor, the door shut.

In front of us was the mouse.

It looked up at our faces and smiled.

It walked out the doggy door.

Squeak! Squeak!

The mouse was is out of the house!

Now, who wants to clean the mess?
