Rising from the ashes

Rising from the ashes

A Poem by Jules
"

A person who has experienced a loss and pain and what needs to be done to take on life again.

"

I dedicate this to all my friends and family.

Rising from the ashes

My heart stopped beating and I died a painful death

Tears flowed like a river until my last breath.

My love beside me kisses my eyelashes

I am a phoenix reborn from the ashes.

Each breath that I take my heart grows stronger

Each step that I make, my life is longer.

I know that my life is still incomplete

But I’ve made the first step, I’m back on my feet.

Up from the ashes I will spread my wings

Into the sky I will triumphantly sing.

My friends guide me to reach new heights

And on the wind I fly like a kite.

Into the sky and beyond the moon

I hope my love will return soon.

Emptiness is lonely, cold and despairing

Life is for living, for loving and sharing.
