Mother Nature

Mother Nature

A Poem by Jules
"

Standing on the shore of a lake watching everything come to life.

"

           Mother Nature

Standing on the shore watching the mist rise,

The waves gently lapping against the pebbles.

A sound so soothing, like the rocking of a child,

Mother Nature, comforting and reassuring.

The day is waking and the mist is thinning

The sun warming the faces of mankind.

All around life is waking, stretching from slumber,

Hungry and thirsty for strength.

Mother Nature opens her arms, giving her children what they need.

And a gentle breeze awakens those sleepy.

The hills and streams quench their thirst

While the sun provides their fuel.

The sound of mankind is now awake, life so fast and busy

And again Mother Nature maintains the balance

A hard relentless job, but she does not falter and she carries on,

As life carries on, because mankind needs nurturing.

You've pictured those moments wonderfully here. Yes Mother Nature gives us so much, we just often forget to take the time to look and hearken to the beauties and whisperings she graciously offers us ...

A poem filled with beauty and grace. Good job!

I used to spend my day working at a lake tucked into the mountains. You have captured the morning ritual of daybreak perfectly!
