A Poem by JugHead985

my whole life I've worked
struggled to keep a job when no one else could
my whole life I've struggled
worked to fund the greater good

My whole life it seems
changed with a simple sign
a elder man in a wheel  chair saying
son can you spare a dime

I'm a proud man you see
but humbled by his simple plea
cause I know deep inside that man
was a man I could not be

'deep inside that man was a man I could not be' wow! Certainly it is true that the best people often end up in the worst of situations but even when they trip and fall the important thing is that they never lose the strength to stand back up. I wish I was strong enough too, but the fact is I'm not. Maybe I have the strength somewhere inside of me but by now it would have dissolved and gone. I only live because I hope and I pray that I will find something or someone someday from which to draw strength from.
