shards of reflectionA Poem by JugHead985a voyage to the other side of the mirror
We gaze into each other's soul
As truths kept hidden unfold Who are you? This person in the box on the wall I've gathered we are alone in this room so small So drag the depths of your private sea And share your hallowed findings with me I want to know you, as we are the same Foggy visions forbidding shame There is no where to run in this open plain Where the plateau of scars will always remain We speak to each other as if so estranged My heart pours out, while your face is arranged Can't you see me from this box on the wall So many times you ignore my calls Am I who you want to be From this frame on the wall, is it you I see Can I bare to see the gaze You've seen the bar and hell I've raised Each day defeats the one before The box on the wall is but a door An entrance or portal to all that we hide We either wither away or enjoy the ride Each day say the same old lines The guy in the box....with me, he's just fine © 2011 JugHead985 |
