Weakened

Weakened

A Poem by JugHead985
"

one of my favorite writings. an issue that has affected my professional and personal life from the beginning.

"
Bowing to those you serve
Quiver at the beatings you deserve
Little b***h without a teet
Nowhere to stand like your own two feet
This crowded house has become your home
Taken from everyone you are left all alone

Distant regret found only in thine eyes
ripped away, your glorious disguise
Telling signs of a soulless form
I bet you wish you were never born
Was it ever enough, all the acclaim
In your weakened state, you can drown in your fame

Are you even you, or what they want you to be
Bittered by the shepards to which your faith draws you
Blinded. By the light your forced to see
You feel not the conscience of those you have left to dry
Like a fallen hero, withered by defeat
You look to be a martyr, by means of deceit

In this time of leaders who shy away from fault
Why does your weakened soul become the vault
It takes but a whisper to change the course of a sail
Only those who dare to try, will prevail
We are going in reverse, so sayeth the sage
Revolution is evolution just add the rage.
