Threat of HappinessA Poem by JugHead985
How dare me
Assume the best Unaware the price to be Ill informed the weight on your chest All too familiar with unrequited love Destiny has no place for my kind My purpose like Noah's dove With others in peril, it's hope I find When all you know, seems the way What more can be done Can't find the right words to say You've chosen clouds, over the sun Like a precious gift that can't be replaced His mark has been made I will never ask it to be erased Only to let me help the scars fade Behind the shield of hallowed tears Lie the strength to be on your own With willingness to face your fears You don't have to be alone From the citadel in which your heart has made it's nest Can you hear the threat of happiness I bring Or has your soul been laid to rest Was it me dreaming, when I heard your caged bird sing © 2011 JugHead985Featured Review
