The SpiralA Poem by JugHead985therapy for the tortured man
My yearly journey through pain begins
As dates too familiar come again No one can see the feelings inside As I'm all too familiar with just how to hide Though wilted the flowers upon the graves, And others have met the dirt from the spade My heart remains empty, and soul left without The presence of those who removed all my doubt This path has been beaten by a wounded hand Debris cast aside, the core of a man I wonder, in time if it all goes away Then again, even the mute, have something to say The wealth I seek, can't be judged on worth A simple smile is what I'll leave this earth "Prepare for departure" the captain will chime And there are no castles, in the sands of time A fruitless search for reasons why Though filled with emotion, I rarely cry Often my tears choked back from within That little voice says , just try again Upon this stone, were memories made The source of heat also brings shade So I take each day, a lesson in survival As I begin my journey, on this downward spiral © 2011 JugHead985Author's Note
