Really...A Poem by JugHead985an account of the struggle to remain true
Why is it no one, says how they feel
How is it you can say that you're real With the same smile you wear When things are to much to bear This heaven you seek, Could be in the words you can't speak But no one says how they feel Too burdened by the sins of others We let our little princesses become mothers Long before the choice for right or wrong Our sons are just a verse in a hip hop song Thinking it's abuse to ask the chores be done But wonder why our jails are over run And no one says how they feel They call me a smart a*s, cause I don't bite my tongue A minced thought, to me, is a web I've spun Trapping falsehoods in its tangles and strength For a true friend, I would travel any length To see that me, you must return in kind Honesty, Integrity, and the occasional piece of your mind Because, I don't care how you feel This is a response, an observation of sort seems my character has fallen victim to distort I won't change what you see, only open your eyes To the truths behind your life's disguise Molded to the forms of those who keep you down Seeking only to wear someone else's crown Pitiful how someone else tells you how to feel The end is just a show of how we start There can be no change unless you heal your heart In years to come, the ears will see what the eyes have heard I know, now, this logic seems absurd For through your own hourglass travels your own sands When you can finally see, see the fault is in your hands On this day your life will be real This is when you should tell me how you feel. © 2011 JugHead985 |
