The lonely road to hell

As the stories of our lives unfold, heartbreak and pain seem to fill the gaps. I wrote this song after an incident where my bipolar disorder and the demons that kept it hidden, surfaced and attacked.

Lord I didn't mean to do it,

Heaven knows how hard I tried.

But I couldn't put her through this, 

Because her smile can't be denied.

There was a time

when it wasn't like this

The whole world would stop and stare

But my glass never did get empty

And now my soul is just so Bare

Yesterday's more than a memory

And all she sees is the pain

But everyday without her

Takes all the Faith that I have

Just to maintain

If you can hear me Lord,

let her walk through the door

I swear this time I'll be a better man

If it ain't meant to be, that woman and me

These changes weren't for nothing, 

and I'll understand
