Autumn Nights RadiateA Poem by Judy M Cox-RouseSimply floating in my head.
When you feel the sudden chill of the day’s sun at night,
And you lookup to the sky while the moon warms your face,
You can see through the clouds as the beam radiates.
Radiates.
You remember the might when everything was so right,
But the one who was with you was a dream of helpless fate,
You can see yourself so small in it all
Wondering if there was some relief
No, No, No, Not at all.
And you look up to the sky,
While the moon warms your face,
You can see through the clouds,
As the beam radiates
Radiates.
Was that you remembered?
Or can it be,
Someone else is walking by?
You can’t recall, not at all.
Does wind really soar?
Or do the waves crash in?
Is there really a sound of silence?
Can angels really fly?
While the moon warms your face,
The world to see is something.
To hold is your own memory,
Or endure nothing at all.
And then you were there.
