Along the Shore

Along the Shore

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Crusty crabs
           scuttle across
                        tide pools.

Fish dart among
                 undulating
                         sea-weed forests.

Salted breezes
             push waves
                       on to the shore.

Seagull-cries
              pierce the rhythm
                                  of the ocean.

The tides rise and fall.
                 The waves roll in.
                                  Peace abides.
