Faith Eclipsed

Faith Eclipsed

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

For Creative Poetry

"
Eclipse-cast
shadows
decimate the subservient.
Ravishing their belief
of the Sun God.
Impression of loss
on each
upturned face
obscures once
resonant voices
of joy.
Voracious fear
gnaws
at the
faithful.

Voracious verse gnaws at the reader!. He, he, he. One hell of a poem. Man I really dig them in this form. KEep on going!

Given the word bank I think that you used them very well. I am glad you read my piece and prompted me to come visit your works. I picked this one because of the title and was not diappointed indeed. It made me think on me and my walk in faith, and let us just say I am cautiously optimistic!

This is a side of your poetry that is new to me--I love this side of you Judy! There is a haunting quality to this piece--voracious fear--wonderful!

Powerful words come together! I like the final four lines especially, an interesting concept.

Indeed.
You clearly have few equals when it comes to erecting poetic monuments out of stray bricks.
Terrific job, Judy!
