The Rhythm of Love

The Rhythm of Love

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Rocking to the rhythm
of your heartbeat.

The rhythmic rise and fall
of your breath
lulling me
as I lie
slumberous
in your arms

To sleep, to dream
of life and love

To live and love
together

To form
a life long
bond
of love
and
desire.

A great poem of love, I love how you've captured a simple moment between two lovers - it's those moments we should cherish and never forget. annie :)

Straightforward, pointed, passionate. Love the last lines.

Beautifully written Judy! The flow is wonderful and the piece feels soft and loving. Brava!

This reminded me of the sweetness of some of Elizabeth Barret Browning's poems, well done, very evocative and twinkly intimate.

A great poem about love, and I love what it has to say and does it with a 'rhythm' that I love too :)
