Beyond Pain...

Beyond Pain...

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

Sometimes pain cannot be wrung out,
sometimes it just is, and
we must find ways to look beyond the pain,

to see the sunset,
to see the smile on a friend's face,
to feel the softness of rose petals on our cheeks.

Sometimes appreciating those
very tiny things
adds up over time, and
we have moments where
the pain does not hold domain....

We need to feel the softness of rose petals on our cheeks because sometimes pain cannot be wrung out. Beautifully inspirational.

...
profound beyond measure
it takes a lot to get to that point
(more than two years in my case)
and transcend the pain
but yes, when it happens
it's truly amazing to connect
with life again

The traumatized woman has the great vibrancy of youth on her side--and that's a lot. May God heal, protect and bless her.
"Beyond Pain..." is an unassuming little poem that softly goes about its business of offering hope and encouraging healing.
But then, that's what much of the author's adult life has truly been about.
Thank you, Judy, for your always extended hand.

It scares me to think that some peoples pain is the foundation that they stand on in life.. I hope too that this person heals and finds a way to re~create the place she stands on... and see's the smiles of those who care that are around her..and the smile in her reflection...xx
A beautiful write Judy..xx
