Surfin'

Surfin'

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

A tanka...

"
Wave rider cresting
on brilliant rolling blueness
mastering the sea
for only the briefest of
moments spent astride the rises.

Short, simple, amazing! I love the wording. "Wave rider cresting" and brilliant rolling blueness". SImple description, but vivid. Never been surfing, but it looks cool!

That really conveys the sense of surfing, makes me miss the coast where I used to live. There's such energy in this.

I guess it's a bit late for me to take up surfing, but this poem makes me think I'd enjoy it.
