Feline Frenzy

Feline Frenzy

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

A Tanka...

"
Ferocious felines
Begin fated midnight hunt
Primal urges race
As evading mice escape
Sharp ambush of teeth and claw.

Great write Judy! And it sounds as though the mice got away!

. oh, you captured the chase brilliantly ... as also the predator and the prey ... it must be quite something to witness it all ...

Ah, this awakened visions i see in the meadows here at night... Love to see the cats slithering through the grass on the dark hunt. So powerful catured in your Tanka.

Must you put up with the incompetence of these cats?
Your vivid imagery well captures the furious action that took place in just a few hair-raising seconds.
Well-chosen words, Judy.

In syllabic poetry you really can capture the idea of the animal. You do so phenomenally. My friend is forever having to clear the bloodied bird wings and mice carcuses from her cat. Glad these mice are so much smarter.

Very nice :D
I enjoy poetry about cats so much :)
Also, I love reading Haiku/tanka because it doesn't take me five minutes to read and then another few to understand :)
