Piloting

Piloting

A Poem by Judy Ponceby

This aviator alone in his cabin
traveling back through time then.

Riding a zephyr to Venus
Contemplating his genus.

Glancing sideways at his bottle
He pulls back on the throttle.

Spaghetti-like wisps of mist
Blurring vision during the shift.

From space flight to ozone light
Coming in for a landing! Hold Tight!

Spaghetti on the windscreen ugh, messier than any bug, riding space zephyrs sounds a scream, where on earth did you find this dream? X
