This World

This World

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

Cosmic wonderings...

"

This world is huge, its small, its infinitesimal and vast.
How did we come by such a beauteous and frightful place.
Out in the cosmos, alone and crowded.
Living our lives in years that are only a blink in time.
What laws of nature bind us, what freedoms do we possess?
Time rushes by only to stand still.
So many questions, so many answers.
Which is right, which wrong?  Is it only a matter of perception?
Such is the human mind.  Always questioning, contradicting.
Seeking and avoiding, creating and destroying.

Judy, I had no idea that you and I have been writing for almost exactly the same amount of time. I wrote my first on 11/25/10 and we have never stopped. I will have to say that this wonderful piece is much better than what I produced.

Scientists have begun to discover that observation--perception--may actually create and destroy--on a sub-atomic level, at least.
You were ahead of your time, Judy--probably, still are.
"The World" is a gathering of "wonderings" that would have captivated Einstein.

Wow Judy, you were a late comer like me then, I never would have thought that! I guess we were waiting to be in the right place for it to come naturally..
Bloomin' good for a starter! X
