Clarity

Clarity

A Poem by Judy Ponceby
"

Newly discovered love

"

The sensuous pressure of a diamond necklace
Being slipped around her neck sent tremors down her spine.
The finest jewels gracing the lovely piece
with the brightest clarity and sparkle.
Simplicity itself shining forth,
glowing from body-heated precious metal.
Looking up into his eyes, she sees the consternation there
as he realizes that she outshines even this in his eyes.

Some might say that the poet is a hopeless romantic; believe she is, rather, a hopeful romantic. I include myself in that category.
"Clarity" is intensely romantic, Judy--and, not surprisingly, very well-written.

Yes a wise man may buy gold and diamonds. But he know by looking into his woman eyes he already had what he wanted. Her happiness is his only goal. A beautiful poem of love and caring. A excellent poem.
