Surreal Surround

Surreal Surround

A Poem by Judy

Open up your ears, like the petals of a rose.

Allow them to listen to my woes,

spreading their wisdom as a flower pollinates the air.

Open up your eyes,

like the morning glory awakens each day,

force the pupils to navigate their surroundings,

looking for sites, both natural and not.

Let your hands feel your surroundings,

as the limbs of the trees touch  the atmosphere around them.

The heavens and the earth surround you,

affording you the opportunity to explore the unknown,

to unlock the secrets that are unknown to me;

You can be my savior

rescuing me from myself,

from the floods of nature

that can destroy me

if the gods do not intervene.

I like how you sescribed a few of the senses and tied it all together with the ending. Sometimes we destory ourselves but then again sometimes God does intervene.
