Lets walk forward with our eyes open

Lets not run backwards with our eyes closed

 

Life needs a new chapter

And you can’t keep

Sitting in pausing in the past

And look through the scrapbooks

Of memories

 

Move forward

You might never know what you find

You never know if you will find

A hidden treasure

Or a blank page

That is waiting for your words

 

Its ok to stop and glance at what once was

But never think the past is always going

To be better than the future

 

Life goes on whether you want it to or not

It will always move on

So move on with it

I liked this poem, because it spoke the truth. I think it can be interpreted two ways- either about someone whose heart is in the past and is afraid to move forwards, or about someone whose life is just getting worst as the years go. I'm not sure if thats what you were intending, but that's how I saw it. Anyway, great write.

good way of stating the truth of how life is.we can stay in the past or move forward to all the wonders life has to offer us.there may be things in our past we need to deal with or cope with in order to move on 1st.thinking positive is the best thing anyone can do because if we allow negative to take place its very hard to work through. great job Ty.
