At The Riverside

At The Riverside

A Poem by Y.F.
"

Sometimes life gives you a short pause from your busy schedule.

"
I sit here at the river's side,
the wind stroking my hair.
Some tourist-boats pass sometimes by,
yet I don't seem to care

Two ducks nearby, they seek to feed,
my bread I gladly share.
I watch the spring's first flowers bloom,
under the mid-sky glare.

I wish to stay on this green piece,
to you I must confess;
Can't wait until tomorrow comes
to clear my head of mess.

I loved the imagery in this.. simple but sweet and refreshing. The phrasing was a bit odd to me, but I'm not used to reading that style of writing, so it may just be my personal preference. Well done.
