Behind The Mask

Behind The Mask

A Poem by Y.F.
"

A show with no encore.

"
After all we've been through,
I can see in your eyes that it's you.

Tragedy again in town,
as I'm wearing my smile upside-down.

Masks your face won't disguise,
I can easily see through your lies.

Won't you just let me be?
You won't fool me again - don't you see?

I'll smear without disgrace,
the mad colors of war on my face.

Wake to see it's a dream.
If you'll try this again I will scream,

I'll rip down your masks - all,
and us three, all three, to hell will fall.

Based on a true story, and maybe a little on "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", as I've seen it too many times lately.
