The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by Y.F.

Lightning strikes upon the ground,
raindrops fall from every tree.
No escape nor shelter found,
one can't hide, nor run, nor flee.

There I lie, completely wet,
hold my head up to the sky.
I can't help but feel upset,
cry, deny, ask "why, oh why?"

Lightning left me scarred and blind,
I can't see, just feel the rain.
Truth I know deep in my mind -
I will never love again.

Great piece.. I can definitely see how Dancing With the Storm reminds you of this.. questioning and challenging the sky.. great job. Love the consistency of your rhyme scheme.

Many are ravaged by storm and find themselves in such despair. Luckily, though, the storm passes and we find love once more.
