Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Y.F.

I've asked of you one final wish,
one promise that you couldn't keep,
and now I feel my heart so sore,
as I fall one last time to sleep.

You've stabbed me just to taste my blood,
you've scarred me just to see me cry,
and as I drip these final drops
I cannot help but wonder why.

Your hollow words are just more proof
that what you say could never be.
Just let me go, forget me please,
I plea, I plea, I plea, I plea.

You know not really what you want,
you did not fight, nor did you try,
and all that's left for me to say,
one final word - Goodbye.

A amazing poem. A hard and cold poem of a disappointment in love. So many strong lines made the poem a very good read. I like the ending. A excellent poem.
