Blood Line

Blood Line

A Poem by Y.F.

The masses would say

he’s a true prince at heart

yet red was his blood

when his veins he had cut

His death was no statement

nor weakness of heart

yet ‘twas foolish mistake

that caused him to depart

So young and so fragile

as he sat on his throne

his agony whispers

“Can you rule me alone?”

Such sadness. A good write. One question though: did you mean prince or price in the second line?
