Tears of Tomorrow

Tears of Tomorrow

A Poem by Y.F.
"

Savior the moment. don't think too far ahead.

"

When I find myself smile

every once in a while

the moment goes by in a flash

When tomorrow comes

or night it becomes

this smile might be found in the trash

Replaced by tears,

shadows and fears,

while this smile I again can not borrow

but now at the scene

no one knows what I mean

when I mention the tears of tomorrow

Why must I spoil

this product of toil

by thinking of what lies ahead

while people rejoice

laugh out in loud voice

I busy myself with this dread

it's hard to ignore

what I've done before

but I don't have to mix joice with sorrow

Now with this smile

I enjoy for a while

and forget about tears of tomorrow

Great writing friend! It is so true - we must do our best to forget about tears, shadows and fears and not let the tears of tomorrow cloud our view of the present. It can be difficult at times and you illustrate this struggle perfectly. This piece has a calm soothing rhythm and pace. I think the unpretentious language gives it a honest and very likeable tone. I also admire your dedication to the rhyme scheme throughout. It works beautifully.

Lovely writing, serious tone, beautifully worded, flowed nicely, rather much as today flows into tomorrow and so on. Beautiful poem, once again, adding to favourites.

I gave you 200 points and when I clicked on the rate it went down to one hundred my friend. I did the same the last time and I rated it 200 also. Something wrong somewhere? Anne.xxx

Ah, to live in the moment.....what a true treasure.

I like this poem, as it reads smoothly and carries a reminder of just that --- enjoy your smile today because tomorrow it may be replaced by tears.

Very nicely done.
