The Pulse of the Earth

 

Listen...

Listen to the beat of the earth.

Listen to its rhythm and watch the tress dance to the music.

The grass hums a tune that only the flowers can hear; they come out to enjoy the show.

Listen to the sound of the rain forest from the top canopy to the low undergrowth......

 

Now listen to the cries of the leaves as they die.

The rhythm of the earth is lost and the trees are falling down to the ground with a loud thud. The grass doesn't show for its performance and the flowers never made it to the show.

Listen as the sound of the rain forest becomes more and more distant.......

 

Listen to the calm sound of the ocean.

Listen as the waves calmly rise and fall.

The streams listen to the melody of the rivers.

Author's Note

This poem is actually unfinished....I might finish it I might not. What do you guys think?

We're hurting the Earth due to overuse of fuel, electricity, etc... And we gotta to change out living habit or this Earth will die. I love this poem, the mood of it, the first line is like telling a secret in a very soft voice, and in the other stanzas, its searching the Earth with us.
