I Love You

I Love You

A Poem by John Smith

You’ve ruined me.

Your smile,
Your hair,
Your charisma.

The warmth and embrace from others sickens me.
Repulses me.

The way you carry yourself enthralls me.
Your sense of humor entertains me.
You are my life’s captivation.

My longing.
My hurting.

My joy is derived from you.
I would travel the farthest reaches for you.
I would literally do anything for you.
You are my all, and I?

I am a smudge.
I am but a mark with no real significance.

You’ve comforted.
Why?
You’ve befriended.
Why?

Do you know you’ve broken my heart?
Do you know you’ve ruined love?

I’m alone.
You’re surrounded.
I’m around.
You’ve forgotten.

I’m sorry.
I love you.

this poem is certainly full of ironies, expect the unexpected is the flow of the poem.
