Monet Dusk

Monet Dusk

A Poem by Jake Hajer

Monet Dusk

Sinking to black
In cloud mountain
Depths
Of cliché adjectives
Flaming for a martyr’s death
Blowing blur
Burning in crayons
As lovers die
Hugging in a field of brownstone
Lilies
And smoke stack
Dandelions
