A Common Ground

A Common Ground

A Poem by J.L.R

I fall so gently for your focus

your illuminated

perplexed computer face

your backlit halo

pushing in

Red neon spills to

bricked backgrounds

infused by jazz

so smooth and creamy

cups of coffee

I fall so swiftly for your stillness

your furrowed brow

amused, still tender

your rising chest

pulsing on

Burnt gold kissing

the sides of our faces

dissolving in silver keys

so constant and rhythmic

scripts and stories

"I’d fall for you all day in this place,”

                  She said.

Quietly creating our presence

in chairs and screens.

This is a soothing masterpiece. I'm in awe of this.

"I fall so swiftly for your stillness".
