Suffocation

Suffocation

A Poem by Jrav

Suffocation

I thought about you today
Was it supposed to hurt when I seen your face
In my mind, such a lovely place
To the eye, a world of hatred and pain
The thought of you just makes me
give in again and again
I just want you to go somewhere
far, far away
You're deteriorating me as I write this for you
What ever happened to a love so rare
as a blue moon
Entitled to a sense of emptiness
without you
Good God, I wasn't lying
when I said I truly loved you
I adored you to the core,
past the locks and closed doors
The further you get,
I develop the need for you more and more
Time has proven to be such a chore,
how could you expect me to get them done
when I'm feeling so sore
All I can do now is explore the dark
Was it a rhetorical question when you asked
if I'd be mad if you'd depart
Do you remember the promises you made,
the ones that kept me restrained
Leave me be while I strangle within these chains
