Join the Party

Join the Party

A Poem by Alex Borst

Jenny's got a soul
That stretches on for miles and miles
But her sole's wearing thin
From chasing other people's smiles

Greg is getting fatter
On lobster and champagne
Everything looks good on paper
But paper don't hold up in rain

Sarah's taking pictures
To put up on her shelf
Has a mirror in her pocket
But she still can't see herself

Jake is waiting outside
'Cause he can't bear to be judged
But he might just join the party
If someone gives him a nudge
