Playground

Playground

A Poem by Alex Borst

I was at the playground the other day
I thought I heard somebody say
Hey baby, tag you're it
Won't you chase me for a little bit
I said I'm rubber and you're glue
So stick with me and I'll bounce with you

Engine engine number nine
What does it take to make you mine?
Running in circles, like duck duck goose
I'm on board, but I won't be the caboose
You wake my heart, Miss Mary Mack
I'm not mad; you look so good in black

So this is how your game is played
I'll be your playmate, I'm not afraid

Circle circle, dot dot,
Let me show you just what I got
Circle circle, square square
I wanna give it to you everywhere
I said red rover, red rover
Come on baby, send all your love over

So this is how your game is played
I'll be your playmate, I'm not afraid
