Sunshine Disco

Sunshine Disco

A Poem by Jqjohnson

Collection of faces and shades
Far away from the dancing spades
Thunder comes as gentle as rain
Relaxation and calm take over the brain

Great gray mountains in the sky
An immaculate golden light show
A sunshine disco as they pass on by
Erratic rays dance within the foreseen flow

Iridescent shores laden with molten silver
Who is this guest that roams our land
Enjoy this purlieu, lest deciding to pilfer
Join our gambol, enrich our shining sand

Replace our graying skies
As Apollo replaced Helios
Make peace with the gloom and say your goodbyes
The sun is here to stay

Thank you very much :)
I loved the poem by itself, but by including Greek mythology, you just made this five times better. xD
Great work!

Thanks, I hated mythology when I was in school so it's funny how I've come around to it
This poem sounds a lot like my day today, it was so beautiful here the sunlight seemed to dance, anyone who uses words like purlieu deserves to be read often. This is a gorgeous write. I especially enjoyed all of it, lol, the last stanza just freaking made me "feel" the elation :)
