Melbourne Gold

Melbourne Gold

A Poem by Jqjohnson

Heat of the sand
Mixed with the
Breeze of the sea
I can feel her
Eyes on me

Oasis in her eyes
Bronze legs to the sky
Eyes are wide, legs are long
Hot and smooth Melbourne Gold

Her voice carries me
To the red gum tree
Desert sands, red rocks
Flowing waves and ancient crocs

Eyes are wide, legs are long
Hot and smooth Melbourne Gold

She has got me sold
Hot hot Melbourne Gold
That girl's Melbourne Gold

I always had a thing for pieces that compared people to the natural things... like the sea, in this case. Brilliant work.
