Buffalo Wind

Buffalo Wind

A Poem by Jqjohnson

A ghostly glimpse on the edge of town
Flowing like a blackfoot gown
Through the wheels of the naked trees
Beginning of a swift young breeze

Sweet sweet Buffalo wind
Takes me back to you once again
Oh, how it made me feel
The whispers of that harvest chill

The mysteries travel through
All they want is to dance with you
Flowing like whiskey under an ancient jeweled moon
Darkness and evil are coming too soon

Great mountains of lead on horizon
Shaped unruly like horns of the bison
Gusts of illusion will draw you in close
They know what your soul yearns for the most

Sweet sweet Buffalo wind
Calling you back again and again
Persuasions of riches and hearts full of gold
It will seduce you to do what you're told
