A Heart Alike...

A Poem by Gatsby.

With a smile so captivating
This heart relates knowingly
Trod down numerous times
By experiences so grime,
It sends others astray.

Beating furiously, it crawls
With determination so strong
Determination to right wrongs; to forget
Determination to succeed; to exceed
Determination to love; to be loved

So collected it grew
Gradually proving the wrongs wrong
Creating a better man than the man before
Dazzling many on its growth path; and
Becoming the one thing it truly is,
A handsome heart.

A heart filled with such great love
It threatens to break forth
A heart eager to create,
To work, to change

A heart understood by few
Misread by many
A heart that craves to be found
A heart that warms mine so
A heart alike...
