Fear

Fear

A Poem by Gatsby.

Fear...an unforgiving paralyzer
An emotion so powerful,
It penetrates every fibre of a person
Through the flesh, bones
Unto the soul
Like pain, it is felt even outwardly
Coursing through the blood
Pounding against the heart
Threatening to consume one from within
A meticulous infiltrator
Leaving the person on a high
One hard to come down from
Eventually overpowering all defences
Weak does it leave it's subject
Now subject to the object, fear.
