When two travel as one
the longer the journey the more the memories,
As time passes
memories lose separation becoming one of two people,
Ingraining themselves
deeply into unioned souls neither knowing whose is who's,
When that love breaks
memories go in two directions but stay connected,
Saying goodbye to a person
isn't always the hardest part - losing the journey is,
So many memories grown
worth every happy thought even the troubled memories must remain,
If you find yourself in this position
say goodbye to the person also say goodbye to the journey,
But keep the memories built
shared during a time when you wanted sharing forged on the road traveled,
It may take some time
but the memories you hold dear become the character you portray.
