Child Of The Moon

Child Of The Moon

A Poem by Elyon

I am wishes and dreams torn asunder
chased my by silent noise
Into the night I dive under the whispering of the dark
The footsteps of my past beating the rhythm of my future
For the transition of a life that was never mine
Yet my soul smiles enjoys the other side
To be free from what torments me so
Grabs hold of what little control I have I am changing now isn't that a fact, for my lightened heart had now turned black
Golden eyes took over the brown that laid inside chained to contain the what lay dormant before it could arrive

Kept hidden I was to that curse, scarcely disguised
I was forgone with the thought of falling becoming swoon
Gone for a time until morning
but now and forever a child of the moon
