Silver & Gold

Silver & Gold

A Poem by Elyon

If I walked another road life would be empty without you
Though I know I'd have to find the world I'd long to see
Becoming lost as the battle ensues
All the timeless struggles that will be
Hoping to fall in love
But it's too cold under this cloud
Looking above
Afraid to love out loud
Scared of the embed sounds

Pretending I am wise
You won't see my tears
As they cover my disguise
The pain begins to spread it's wings
Takes it shape and flies
What's to understand
without a hand to hold
For I am a man made of silver
With a heart made of gold

First, "spread it's wings" should be "spread its wings."

Okay, again, your imagery is great, but I think you should use punctuation in your poems more to take advantage of the rhythm. Otherwise, beautiful.

Perhaps a man made of tin with a gold heart? I'm not sure about this one. You've definitely written better, but it's still a good poem :)
