A Piece of Sicily

A Piece of Sicily

A Chapter by Solidad

Augustus was a man of fire.
When he made love to you,
the ground shook.

I dove into his lemon pepper eyes,
allowing his warm affection
to permeate my skin.

In a moment of such rapture
and bliss.
Only to pull the plug.

I might have stolen his heart
with my siren song.
But that's his cross to bear.

Lifting my hips in rhythm
to his heartbeat,
I stole a piece of him.

Swallowing his hopes and dreams,
he'll never know I took.
Reciprocating only with a smile.

Shaking my head.
"If I didn't give a piece to Eli,
why in the hell would I give one to you?"
