An Anxiety

An Anxiety

A Poem by Solidad

I pushed it way
the moments of rapture
filled with arbitrary sorrow
it was magnanimous.
I was foiled
limping away from
validated arrangements,
I would've forgiven you
but didn't.
My knees bruised
with prayer
I choked on my
syllables
there was nothing
where there once was
many
A plethora of shame
traced my silhouette
it wasn't fair.
The guilt migrated
from my fingertips
to my chest
Beating against my sternum
like baby birds
trying
to escape.

Omg...this was EPIC!

Your thoughts came across in such a violent nature. The emotions struck out at me over and over as I read. You can be very elegant with your words..but the blunt and unpolished nature of this poem is what really made your feelings come to life.
