An AnxietyA Poem by Solidad
I pushed it way
the moments of rapture filled with arbitrary sorrow it was magnanimous. I was foiled limping away from validated arrangements, I would've forgiven you but didn't. My knees bruised with prayer I choked on my syllables there was nothing where there once was many A plethora of shame traced my silhouette it wasn't fair. The guilt migrated from my fingertips to my chest Beating against my sternum like baby birds trying to escape. © 2011 SolidadFeatured Review
