Sisters

Sisters

A Poem by Solidad

We were in our separate corners tonight;
so there won't be much laughter floating about the house.
It was almost like they knew we were angry with each other.
Letting us pout
like spoiled children.
While they mingled amongst themselves in the living room.
Us,
"cooling off" so to speak in our rooms.
I don't believe we'd ever gotten this angry
at one another.
And at this very moment we wondered
what the other was doing.
Yet it would be another day or so before we'd speak
let alone apologize.
After all we were both too damned stubborn.

I thought it was really cool how the love still existed,
even though tempers were flaring. I thought it was kind
of funny when I think about how two people can bee too
much alike to get a long.
