Will.i.am H[e]art

A Poem by Solidad
"

About a man who ran the other way.

"
Sitting back,
waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Lies and more mayhem.
People wonder why you don't bother,
with things like trust and love much anymore.
They burn like battery acid,
fill a once sound mind with doubt.
Making you feel much like the word 'undone'.
Tired of stumbling around in the dark,
because you didn't have the courage
to turn a light on
and face what you've spent the last year of your life,
circumventing.
That doesn't make you stoic
or brave
it just makes you a procrastinator.
But then again,
who am I
to make such observations?
After all,
you only let me hold you
when no one is looking.

Oh Solidad wow that is just hard hitting. Seeing the truth as to how someone is can be an eye opener and your last line punches that home. Many men do that to a woman, they are with them when no one is looking because they don't feel the person is good enough to be seen in public with them but they are coward enough to lie with them in the dark of secrets. I like this one, hard hitting, hard truth and yes more women should open their eyes to these games that guys play often.
