Life

A Poem by Solidad
"

never being allowed to exit stage left.

"
If I were to write a story about my life many would be offended If I were to write a story about my life many would be offended

It was never ending,

Always on a stage performing.

Never allowed to leave,

Always forgetting my lines

And between pauses

I’d laugh.

Hiccupping between refrains.

This is funny to me. I used to be a thespian. Maybe I'll go back to it. Sometimes, you just get stage fright. Often when you do hicups are a result. I've had them before myself. Very cute, this poem. I love it!

Indeed, life is like a stage. Good connection. We always seem to forget what to say or are speechless when it's our turn in front of people, so I guess life is a lot like that...a big stage where you're in front of everyone having to talk. Scary.
