A Poem by Solidad
"

Letting go can be logical.

"
If I were to write a story about my life many would be offended

You signed your name at the bottom

You let her run your life,

OUR lives.

Until the day we’d had enough

Of the anger,

hurt,

frustration,

and each other.

The love stopped.

We finally grew apart

I left years ago.

But the moment has faded,

Leaning in for a kiss,

Nostalgia,

I’d assume the position,

and then back away

slowly

exhale of deep faith.

Kept me from leaning back and falling toward something false

Like your idols and my god.

Finally claiming him,
I left you,m

to decide what to do with the rest of what was left of our lives.

Correction your life.
